THE CLUB & AMENITIES
Golf anchors the club. Querencia’s original Tom Fazio design, Campo Bajo, stretches more than 7,000 yards through arroyos and ridgelines and has been ranked among the hundred greatest courses in the world; a second Fazio course, Campo Alto, now climbs the higher ground, giving members two distinct championship experiences inside one gate.
Then there is the Canyon Club, the community’s newest campus and a clear statement of its family-first priorities. Indoors: a climbing wall, duckpin bowling, an arcade, a trampoline park, a golf simulator, a billiards lounge, and a supervised Kids’ Club for the four-to-twelve set. Outdoors: a skate park, a bike-and-pump track, lighted basketball and soccer, sand volleyball, a ninja obstacle course, and Querencia’s biggest pool, water slide included. Two eateries — La Mesa poolside and El Mercado, the community market and coffee bar — as well as an on-site medical office.
Down at the water, the Beach Club opens onto a swimmable beach with one of San José’s most reliable surf breaks — a rarity along this coast — with family pools, oceanfront fitness, a satellite of the Q Spa, and dining that runs from barefoot to white-tablecloth. Threaded between it all: more than ten miles of hiking and biking trails, a full wellness campus with spa and movement pavilion, courts for tennis, pickleball, and padel, and a calendar of land-and-sea adventure programming that keeps three generations busy on the same weekend.
